Introduction
The RMI Endowment Fund under guidance of the Board of Directors is providing opportunities to the talented but needy students to fulfill their dreams and aspirations and at the same time to become partner in the development and welfare of Pakistan.
Mission
Building a critical mass of human capital, participating in nation building; through the provision of equitable opportunities to the less privileged but academically brilliant girls and boys in Pakistan.
Vision
Creation of a pool of talented Pakistani youth from less privileged background; contributing towards economic and social development, to realise the dream of a moderate, progressive and prosperous Pakistan.
Objectives
RMI-EF has been established with the objective of promoting academic excellence by providing financial support to talented and deserving students to help them realize their potential. This programme envisages developing the overall personality of students and creating a critical mass of talented students that will contribute to the development of the society. Following are the four (4) major objectives of RMI Endowment Fund:
- Scholarship for talented and less privileged students to bring them at par with the more fortunate ones
- Creation of a critical mass of talented youth for the development of society .
- Identification and support to extremely marginalised students through special quotas.
- Supporting the less privileged and best students of RMI-Education and Rehman Medical Institute.
Articles of Association of RMI Endowment Fund
Name and Registered Office
1.1 The name of the organization shall be RMI Endowment Fund, hereinafter referred to as the “Fund”.
1.2 The registered office of the Fund shall be located at [Address], or at such other place as the Board of Trustees (hereinafter referred to as the “Board”) may decide.
Objectives
2.1 The primary objectives of the Fund are:
a. **Faculty Development:** Support the professional development of faculty members through funding for advanced education, workshops, and research opportunities.
b. **Infrastructure Development:** Contribute to the construction and maintenance of state-of-the-art facilities, laboratories, classrooms, and libraries.
c. **Student Internships and Fellowships:** Provide financial assistance for students to participate in internships, fellowships, and research programs, fostering practical experience and research skills.
d. **Technology Enhancement:** Fund the acquisition of cutting-edge technologies and software for research, teaching, and administrative purposes.
e. **Entrepreneurship Support:** Encourage entrepreneurship among students and alumni by providing seed funding, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities.
f. **Global Exchange Programs:** Support international exchange programs, allowing students and faculty to engage in academic and cultural exchanges with institutions worldwide.
g. **Community Outreach:** Establish initiatives for community engagement, such as free workshops, seminars, and healthcare camps, promoting the university’s social responsibility.
h. **Library Resources:** Contribute to expanding the university’s library collection, including books, journals, online databases, and other educational resources.
i. **Sports and Arts:** Enhance sports facilities, sponsor sports teams, and promote artistic endeavors such as theater, music, and fine arts among students.
j. **Diversity and Inclusion:** Support initiatives that foster diversity and inclusion on campus, including scholarships for underrepresented groups, cultural events, and awareness campaigns.
k. **Health and Wellness:** Establish programs and facilities that promote the physical and mental well-being of students and staff, including fitness centers, counseling services, and health awareness campaigns.
l. **Sustainability Initiatives:** Fund eco-friendly projects, renewable energy initiatives, and sustainability awareness programs to make the university campus environmentally conscious.
m. **Alumni Engagement:** Support alumni events, chapters, and networks, fostering lifelong connections between alumni and the university.
n. **Academic Chairs and Centers:** Endow academic chairs and research centers in specific fields of study, fostering excellence in research and teaching.
o. **Emergency Funds:** Establish a fund to assist students facing unexpected financial hardships, ensuring that economic challenges do not hinder their education.
Management
3.1 The affairs and business of the Fund shall be managed by the Board of Trustees consisting of [number] members, including the President of Rehman University, who shall serve as the Chairperson ex-officio. The Board may also include representatives from alumni, faculty, students, and external experts as deemed necessary.
3.2 The Board shall have the power to appoint sub-committees, working groups, or advisory panels to assist in the management and implementation of specific projects or initiatives.
Management

Sources of Funds
4.1 The Fund shall receive contributions, donations, bequests, and any other form of financial assistance from individuals, corporations, organizations, and other legal entities.
4.2 The Fund may also generate revenue through investments, fundraising events, and other lawful means in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Utilization of Funds
5.1 The funds of the organization shall be utilized solely for the purposes outlined in Article 2.
5.2 The Board shall have the authority to establish transparent and accountable mechanisms for the disbursement of scholarships, grants, incentives, prizes, and awards to students and faculty members.
Financial Management
6.1 The Fund shall maintain accurate financial records and prepare an annual financial report.
6.2 An independent auditor shall be appointed annually to audit the financial accounts of the Fund.
Amendment of Articles
7.1 These Articles of Association may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the Board members present and voting at a meeting convened for this purpose.
Dissolution
8.1 In the event of dissolution, any remaining assets after the satisfaction of all debts and liabilities shall be transferred to Rehman University or any other educational institution with similar objectives as approved by the Board.
